What is a Claude artifact, and why does it need Dippr?
An artifact is the chart, table or small dashboard Claude gives you when you ask a data question. It is a static file: the numbers are frozen at the moment it was made, and anyone who has the file sees all of it. Dippr keeps the same report but runs its queries against your data every time it is opened, hosts it, and applies your access rules.
Do I have to rebuild my reports?
No. Dippr takes the artifact as it is. You add Dippr to Claude once, connect your data, and run three commands. The report looks the same. It is just live now.
Which AI tools does it work with?
Claude and Claude Code today, through MCP (Model Context Protocol). Any tool that speaks MCP can connect to Dippr the same way.
Does Dippr copy my data?
No. Dippr connects outbound to your warehouses and databases and runs each query at the moment a report is opened. Your data stays where it is. Enterprise plans can run Dippr inside your own cloud account.
Who can see a report I share?
Only the people you allow. Viewers sign in, and your row and column rules are applied per viewer. One report can serve every customer or team while each sees only their own rows. Every query is logged.
What is a credit?
Roughly one minute of query engine time. Each plan includes a monthly pool of credits. Live reports and AI queries through Dippr draw from the same pool. Overage is soft, so nothing fails in the middle of a task.
Who pays?
Only admins: the people who set up data sources, access rules and metric definitions. Building and viewing reports is free on every plan, with no limit on people or apps.
What is Dippr not?
Not a BI tool, there is no drag-and-drop chart builder. Not a data warehouse, it connects to yours. Not a no-code app builder, the app comes from your artifact. Dippr is the platform under the reports you already make.
Can I run it in my own cloud?
